An all-female aircrew took to the skies on a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III for a training flight departing from Travis Air Force Base, California, April 15, 2022. The flight featured an al-female aircrew. For former pilots like soon to be retiring, Col. Jacquelyn Marty, 349th AMW vice commander, this was an opportunity that at one time was unheard of to fly with an all-female aircrew.
“I’m thrilled and only hope as we go forward, it’s not a big deal, but a natural occurrence,” said Marty. Marty will soon be retiring in June after 32 years of service.
