Anti-war protest held outside Travis AFB

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – A political group held an anti-war protest on Dec. 28, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:25 a.m. off-base at the intersection of Air Base Parkway and Parker Road, Fairfield, California.

The group claimed anti-war abroad sentiments as the reason behind their protest. The protest was attended by approximately 125 individuals.

Base Security Forces and Fairfield Police Department members monitored the event to ensure the security of the installation and the safety of both base personnel and those protesting. One protestor, after crossing onto Travis AFB property, was briefly detained at the scene by Travis AFB Security Forces and promptly turned over to Fairfield Police Department for further processing.
