U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 733rd Air Mobility Squadron and 353rd Special Operations Wing position barrels beneath the payload’s platform to properly distribute its weight utilizing the offloading method B at Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 5, 2023. This offloading method began back during the Vietnam era where the C-130 Hercules traveled to harsh locations that couldn’t readily provide loader support.
