Airmen with the 621st Contingency Response Wing wrapped up Turbo Distribution July 28, 2026, a recurring exercise designed to validate the U.S. Air Force’s ability to open airfields and sustain relief operations anywhere in the world on short notice.

The exercise centered on a Contingency Response Element (CRE) from the 621st Contingency Response Squadron (CRS), which activated and stood up operations as part of the exercise scenario. Within hours of arrival, the team assessed an airfield, established an Aerial Port of Debarkation, and began receiving simulated relief supplies; the kind of rapid-turnaround capability the unit is built to provide in real-world contingencies.
